Many thanks for the very kind comments and
encouragement on the launch of my novel, Spin Doctor.
I have had amazing support from my friends on
Twitter. I am planning to post some of their comments on
the Reviews page.
I also am deeply indebted to certain Kinsolving friends!
You can read my
blog on this site, or you can
subscribe to it via
NovelPolitics.com. You may have stopped by this site out of
curiosity. During a very political year, you may wonder
about the political slant of my writing. Although
I am very much a partisan, I am committed to trying to
stay neutral. I believe there are so many aspects of
politics that transcend our current issues and like many
others, I love the dynamics, the give and take. So
this site and Spin Doctor do not push a partisan
take on life.
Over the years, when I worked on Capitol Hill and in
the White House, I was sometimes asked what it was like.
More than anything else, that's what I have tried to
capture in Spin Doctor and Potomac Lights.

Jack Abbott is a Washington spin doctor who longs to
big time: the White House. Once there, he'll do almost
anything to hold onto his job. Will the country re-elect
his boss, President Dexter, a beloved widower with a
secret, because of Jack’s skillful deception? Will
Jack’s conscience finally surface and spur him to make
amends? Or is it too late?
Spin Doctor has a
Washington theme, a realistic story and a soul. And
unlike many Washington novels, Spin Doctor is not
a memoir or polemic, not a message book or a thriller.
Politically neutral, it goes to deeper truths: the
conflict we all have between ambition and conscience.
